Returning to their childhood home following a death in the family, siblings Sheila and David wake to find their feet have mysteriously rooted to the earth. As knowledge about this mysterious event spreads, a community of old and new relationships forms around them. The motley chosen family wrestles with how to care for Sheila, David, and the land in the face of these extraordinary circumstances and relentless tides of change. The Trees is an expansive, tender new myth that charges us to reconsider our responsibilities to land and to one another.
*PLEASE NOTE: The Saturday April 25th performance has a special start time of 7pm and will be immediately followed by our annual House Party to celebrate Skidmore Theater’s performance season. Patrons attending this show are welcome & encouraged to attend the event – it’s free!
