Studio Lab #1: “The Sandbox”

This week, the Skidmore Theater Department staged its first Studio Lab of the Fall 2022 season: Edward Albee’s The Sandbox, directed by Liz Cohen (’23).

Spring ’22 Mainstage: Heddatron

On April 22, Heddatron, written by Elizabeth Merriweather and directed by Dennis Schebetta, made its debut on Skidmore College’s Mainstage.

Lab #2: “4:48 Psychosis”

April 14th and 15th, Skidmore Theatre Department presented its second studio lab of the spring semester, 4.48 PSYCHOSIS, written by Sarah Kane and directed by Isaac DeMarchi (’23)

“El Mito or The Myth of My Pain”

This past weekend, Skidmore Theater was honored to host a staged reading of El Mito De Mi Dolor or The Myth of My Pain, a new play written by visiting artist in residence Andrew Rincón and directed by Teisha Duncan.

Lab #1: “Los Vendidos”

March 24th and 25th marked the debut of Skidmore’s most recent student-directed Studio Lab: Luis Valdez’s Los Vendidos, directed by and starring Skidmore’s own Fabian Rodriguez (‘22).

Spring ’22 BlackBox: Double Feature!!

This spring, Skidmore Theater did something different from their typical season by putting up two BlackBox productions in rep with each other: And Baby Makes Seven, written by Paula Vogel, and directed by Gemma Siegler, ‘22, and The Chaparral, written and directed by Tatsu Rivera ‘22.

On November 19, 2021, it was opening night for SOMEWHERE: A Primer for the End of Days by Marisela Treviño Orta, our first show on the mainstage since Radium Girls closed on March 5 last year.
